Soy Milk Yogurt

Suggested Soy Milks: Westsoy Organic Unsweetened Soy Milk, EdenSoy Unsweetened Organic Soy Milk, Trader Joe’s Unsweetened Soy Milk

Ingredients

  • 1.5 quarts/liters soy milk

  • 1.5 tsp agar agar powder

  • 1 tbsp pasteurized honey

  • 1 serving plant-based yogurt starter

Method

  1. In a medium pot, pour in your soy milk, agar agar powder, and honey. Mix this well until it is fully combined.

  2. Heat the soy milk up to 190°F for 10 minutes.

  3. Let the milk cool until it reaches 100°F.

  4. Mix in your plant-based yogurt starter.

  5. Pour your mixture into your yogurt containers.

  6. Add the yogurt containers to your yogurt maker and put on the lids.

  7. Pour water into the basin of your yogurt maker to around the level of the mixture in the containers.

  8. Set your yogurt maker to 105°F for 24 hours.

  9. Once finished, mix the yogurt well and place it in the fridge for at least 2 hours to cool and thicken.
